Accessibility Statement — The Open Pattern

Effective date: January 7, 2026

Overview
The Open Pattern is committed to making our services and digital content welcoming and usable for neurodivergent people and others with diverse needs. This statement explains what we do now and how to request help.

What we do (achievable, core commitments)

  • Use clear, simple language across the site and materials.

  • Ensure headings and page content follow a logical order.

  • Provide descriptive alt text for essential images.

  • Make interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) reachable and usable by keyboard.

  • Offer captions or transcripts for new audio/video when feasible.

  • Reduce motion/animation where it is possible to do so.

  • Test key pages periodically using an automated tool and at least one manual keyboard check.

Third‑party content
Some embedded tools or external pages may not be fully accessible. We will address issues we can control and note affected pages.

In‑person services and adjustments

For coaching, workshops or meetings we will:

  • Offer scheduling flexibility and breaks.

  • Provide quiet or lower‑stimulus options when requested.

  • Accept requests for alternative formats (e.g., written notes, transcripts).
