About
The Open Pattern
The Open Pattern provides focused coaching and consulting for you: teens, adults, caregivers and families. Whether you have a formal diagnosis of neurodivergent conditions or diverse needs, or are still exploring, we do not try to change who you are. Instead, we help you:
• Identify unhelpful habits, patterns and environmental barriers
• Design practical, sustainable supports and routines that suit your strengths
• Implement small, achievable changes that build a life that fits
Our support is collaborative, respectful and strengths‑based, focused on practical strategies that work for you.
-
Respect: We listen to your goals, communication style, sensory needs, lived experience and culture — and adapt every recommendation accordingly.
-
Integrity: Guidance is honest and evidence-informed; each session ends with clear, achievable next steps.
-
Inclusion: Services are accessible and flexible: video (captions on request), phone and email support.

-
Person-led: You set goals; we co-create plans that honor autonomy.

Support that adapts to you.

Meet Alice Lee,
Founder & Guide
I founded The Open Pattern after a lifetime alongside neurodiversity, both personally and professionally. I have supported thousands across that journey.
Growing up in a neurodivergent family taught me that difference is not lesser. It is not always easy, but it brings strengths the world is still learning to value.
For over 30 years I have worked across three countries in roles such as:
-
Educator who refused to let labels limit potential
-
Co‑founder of a post‑school life‑skills and pre‑employment centre for young adults with diverse needs
-
Inclusive sports coach who turned barriers into opportunities
-
Consultant, mentor, and coach for neurodivergent people, families and progressive organisations
Each role proved one truth: when we centre strengths instead of deficits, people don’t just cope, they flourish.
Today I combine evidence‑based strategies with lived understanding to walk alongside individuals, families, schools and workplaces through stuck points, transitions and the moments that matter.
My Clients
I have supported thousands of people so far in my career, including neurodivergent and disabled children, students and adults, parents raising extraordinary children and organisations committed to inclusion.
